David Odgers has been appointed as Stone Conservation Consultant to English Heritage Building Conservation and Research Team. As part of this, he is part of a team developing the Magnesian Limestone Research project jointly run with the Getty Institute.

Other projects currently include:
• Condition survey and trials on Purbeck marble tomb to Edward II in Gloucester Cathedral
• Environmental monitoring of the cellars at Burghley House
• Trials to remove oil deposits from Pennant stone
