As Chairman of the Institute of Conservation Stone and Wall Paintings Group, David Odgers is involved in the following initiatives:

• Steering committee for establishing standards for accreditation in Conservation Management – a joint initiative with the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (www.ihbc.org.uk)

• Sitting on a committee together with English Heritage, Creative and Cultural Skills Council, Training providers and others to discuss implementing the recommendations from the recent research document ‘Architectural Conservators – Education and Training in England’
